A practica is a practice session open to students of all levels.


This is an opportunity to dance with someone new, or work with a partner,
without keeping in the line-of-dance as you would at a milonga.
(No problem in 'making a mistake'.)

You can practice things you have learned in class,
experiment with a new step or position, dance with a new partner
or explore something that hasn't quite been working on the social dance floor.

Each practica is sponsored by an instructor, who is available for guidance.
Students can try out an instructor they are interested in studying with at a practica.

A practica can also be scheduled by a group of dancers who want to work together
on something they are learning with a specific instructor,
often a visiting instructor who is no longer in town.

PRACTICA SCHEDULE

Margo & Romulo invite you to their practica every Wednesday at 9pm; $5.
This practica follows their advanced class at 8pm.  Students must register
for the class.  The practica is free for anyone currently enrolled in a group
class with the Chicago Tango Academy.  Information & registration at

Douglas Rivera usually offers a practica on 
the last Sunday of the month, in between sessions of his Sunday group classes.
